Multiplication Drill Worksheets
Multiplication begins in grade 2 as equal groups and arrays, becomes the times tables in grade 3, and grows into multi-digit products in grades 4 through 6. The sheets here follow that order exactly: repeated-addition arrays for grade 2, facts to 10 × 10 and 12 × 12 for grade 3, two- and three-digit by one- and two-digit multiplication for grades 4 and 5, and multi-digit products with factors, multiples and squares for grade 6.
Times-table fluency is the single most consequential skill on this site, because long division, fractions and algebra all assume it. That is why every multiplication grade has a timed drill of fifty to seventy facts alongside the untimed drill, and why the missing-number sheets present facts as unknown factors — the form that division takes in grade 3.

Multiplication on this site runs from Grade 2 to grade 6: 30 worksheets across five grades and six formats (drill, timed drill, missing number, mixed review, word problems, and vertical format), each in three versions, for 2,406 problems in all with every answer keyed. Ten of the sheets were first published on MathSheetLab and are kept here as Set A of their cell, with Sets B and C derived from them.
Grade by grade: Grade 2 works on equal groups, arrays as repeated addition, and skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s; Grade 3 works on multiplication facts to 10 × 10 and 12 × 12, and multiplying by multiples of ten; Grade 4 works on two- and three-digit by one-digit products and two-digit by two-digit multiplication; Grade 5 works on three-digit by two-digit multiplication and multiplying by powers of ten; Grade 6 works on multi-digit multiplication, greatest common factor, least common multiple and perfect squares.
Focus: equal groups, arrays as repeated addition, and skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s.

The six formats
- Drill. Straight practice, 20-40 problems. Thirty untimed products let a student practise the algorithm while accuracy, not speed, is the target.
- Timed Drill. Fact fluency, 50-100 problems, timer box on sheet. The times tables are the one set of facts that must be automatic, and a timed page is how you find out whether they are.
- Missing Number. Solve for the blank in any position. An unknown factor is division in disguise, so this format is where multiplication and division fact families are built.
- Mixed Review. Assorted problem shapes from the operation. Mixing facts, multiples of ten and larger products on one page keeps a student choosing a method instead of repeating one.
- Word Problems. Story problems in real-world contexts. Equal groups, arrays and comparison situations all multiply, and recognising them is the skill the drill sheets cannot teach.
- Vertical Format. Column arithmetic with regrouping lines. Stacked factors put the partial products in columns, which is where the place-value shift in long multiplication lives.
