Time & Money Drill Worksheets
Time and money are the two measurement systems children meet daily, and the two that do not follow base ten. Kindergarten reads the clock to the hour and learns the value of each coin; grade 1 reads to the half hour and counts like coins; grade 2 reads to five minutes, counts mixed coins and bills and makes change from a dollar; grade 3 reads to the minute, works elapsed time in minutes and adds and subtracts money.
Clock sheets draw the analog face for every problem, with the hour hand placed proportionally between numerals the way a real clock shows it. Money answers are written in the notation the grade expects — cents with the cent sign in the early grades, dollars and cents from grade 2 onward.

Time and money on this site runs from Kindergarten to grade 3: 19 worksheets across four grades and five formats (drill, timed drill, missing number, mixed review, and word problems), each in three versions, for 1,740 problems in all with every answer keyed. Two of the sheets were first published on MathSheetLab and are kept here as Set A of their cell, with Sets B and C derived from them.

The six formats
- Drill. Straight practice, 20-40 problems. Clock faces and coin sets in a steady run are how the two readings — hands and values — become automatic.
- Timed Drill. Fact fluency, 50-100 problems, timer box on sheet. Coin values and o'clock times are facts, and a timed page shows which are known and which are still being counted.
- Missing Number. Solve for the blank in any position. How many coins, or how many minutes, reverses the counting and tests whether the values are understood.
