What this worksheet covers
This is a 30-problem mixed review for grade 6 percents, printed in black and white with the key on page two. Within that, several problems use mixed numbers, which have to be handled without dropping the whole-number part and operands run to two decimal places, so the decimal points have to be lined up rather than the right-hand digits. Problems 11 and 21, for instance, are "5 is what percent of 100?" and "Write 0.57 as a percent.". It is written against Common Core 6.RP.3 — Ratios & Proportional Relationships, grade 6.

Set A, Set B and Set C
All three sets are produced by the site's deterministic generator from a fixed seed, so they are the same every time the site is built and the answer keys are exact. Where Set A's problem 16 is "10% of 200", Set B's is "80% of a number is 160. What is the number?".
How to use this worksheet
Have the student estimate before computing, then compare. At grade 6 an percents answer that is wildly off should announce itself, and building that reflex matters as much as the 30 answers. Date the mixed review before filing it. Set C from six weeks later is the cheapest evidence you have that the percents stuck.
One mistake to watch for
The percent is used as a plain number: 20% of 50 is answered 1,000 or 70. On this grade 6 mixed review, problem 21 ("Write 0.57 as a percent.") is the kind of item where it shows.
The percent sign is being read as decoration and the "per hundred" is lost.
Rewrite every percent as a fraction over 100 or a decimal before computing, for as long as it takes to become automatic.
