What this worksheet covers
Set A of this grade 6 timed drill sheet holds 60 percents problems on one printable page, with the answer key on the page behind it. What makes this set particular: several problems use mixed numbers, which have to be handled without dropping the whole-number part and operands run to two decimal places, so the decimal points have to be lined up rather than the right-hand digits. Two problems from the middle of the page — "10% of 100" and "90% of 80" — show the range. Common Core 6.RP.3 is the slot this page fills.
Skills practised
At grade 6, percents is about percent of a number, finding the percent, and finding the whole, and this sheet takes one slice of that. Specifically, the problems practise percent of a number and percents, fractions and decimals. Working the page asks a student to work in fractional units and give the answer in lowest terms and keep the decimal points aligned. 56 different answers appear across the 60 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the timed drill format
With 60 short problems such as problem 21, "10% of 100" and a timer box, this page measures recall rather than method — write the time down, and aim to beat it on Set B. Conversions between percents, fractions and decimals are facts as much as procedures, and a timer tells you which are known.

The three sets come from the same generator with three different seeds: same skill, same layout, fresh numbers, and an answer key computed with the problems. Where Set A's problem 31 is "75% of 100", Set B's is "50% of 40".
How to use this worksheet
Expect twenty minutes or so of real attention for 60 problems. At grade 6, percents rewards care over speed — a rushed timed drill gets the arithmetic right and the signs or units wrong. Date the timed drill before filing it. Set C from six weeks later is the cheapest evidence you have that the percents stuck.
