What this worksheet covers
Set A of this grade 6 mixed review sheet holds 30 division problems on one printable page, with the answer key on the page behind it. What makes this set particular: seven quotients leave a remainder that has to be reported, not rounded away and the numbers run as high as 76,692. Grade 6 division means long division with two- and three-digit divisors and multi-digit quotients. Working the page asks a student to interpret what is left over. 27 different answers appear across the 30 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the mixed review format
The 30 problems are deliberately assorted — problem 11, "42089 ÷ 51" is followed by something of another shape — so the student has to read each one rather than run the last method again. Mixing exact quotients with remainders and small divisors with large ones keeps the student deciding what each problem needs.
Set A, Set B and Set C
The three sets come from the same generator with three different seeds: same skill, same layout, fresh numbers, and an answer key computed with the problems. Where Set A's problem 16 is "56544 ÷ 992", Set B's is "71322 ÷ 93".
How to use this worksheet
Expect twenty minutes or so of real attention for 30 problems. At grade 6, division rewards care over speed — a rushed mixed review gets the arithmetic right and the signs or units wrong. Ask the student to re-work one missed division problem from scratch on Set B rather than correcting it in place; the second attempt shows whether the method changed.
One mistake to watch for
The first digit of the quotient is placed over the wrong digit of the dividend. Problem 21 on this grade 6 mixed review page, "5600 ÷ 8", is where to look for it.
The student has not asked how many times the divisor goes into the leading part of the dividend.
Underline the smallest leading part of the dividend the divisor fits into before writing anything.
