What this worksheet covers
30 division problems fill this mixed review page; problem 11 asks "70 ÷ 7", and the sheet stays at that level throughout. Eight quotients leave a remainder that has to be reported, not rounded away and the numbers run as high as 6,822. Further down, problem 21 asks "5085 ÷ 9". The sheet sits inside Common Core 4.NBT.6, in the grade 4 Number & Operations in Base Ten strand.
Skills practised
At grade 4, division is about two- and three-digit dividends with one-digit divisors, with and without remainders, and this sheet takes one slice of that. What a student is asked to do here is two-digit by one-digit division, division with remainders, and three-digit by one-digit division. Working the page asks a student to interpret what is left over. 27 different answers appear across the 30 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the mixed review format
The 30 problems are deliberately assorted — problem 11, "70 ÷ 7" is followed by something of another shape — so the student has to read each one rather than run the last method again. Mixing exact quotients with remainders and small divisors with large ones keeps the student deciding what each problem needs.
Set A, Set B and Set C
The three sets come from the same generator with three different seeds: same skill, same layout, fresh numbers, and an answer key computed with the problems. Where Set A's problem 16 is "450 ÷ 9", Set B's is "1125 ÷ 3".
How to use this worksheet
By grade 4 a student should take all 30 division problems in one sitting. If the page takes more than about fifteen minutes, the underlying facts are probably not automatic yet, and that is worth fixing before more division practice piles on. Ask the student to re-work one missed division problem from scratch on Set B rather than correcting it in place; the second attempt shows whether the method changed.
One mistake to watch for
Division facts are found by guessing and checking with multiplication, slowly. On this grade 4 mixed review, problem 21 ("5085 ÷ 9") is the kind of item where it shows.
The division fact is not stored; only the multiplication fact is.
Practise each times-table row as division facts too, and pair every missing-factor problem with its division form.
