Grade 4 Division Worksheets

At grade 4, division means two- and three-digit dividends with one-digit divisors, with and without remainders. Below are six worksheets on it — one per format — each in Set A, B and C with keys.

The drill has 18 problems, numbers to 132 (problem 7: "42 ÷ 6"). The timed drill has 72 problems, numbers to 810 (problem 25: "28 ÷ 7"). The missing number has 24 problems, numbers to 168 (problem 9: "___ ÷ 3 = 18"). The mixed review has 30 problems, numbers to 6,822 (problem 11: "70 ÷ 7"). The word problems has 10 problems, story problems (problem 4: "Ben walks 20 laps over 4 days, the same number each day.…"). The vertical format has 20 problems, numbers to 5,940 (problem 7: "42 ÷ 6").

Across the six sheets the generator draws on division facts to 144 ÷ 12, dividing multiples of ten, two-digit by one-digit division, division with remainders, and three-digit by one-digit division. The pages are tagged to Common Core 4.NBT.6 and 3.OA.7, and each tag links to the standards index.

Division continues at grade 3, grade 5, and grade 6, so a student who finishes the grade 4 sheets can move up without changing topic.

A useful order through these six grade 4 division sheets: drill first, then mixed review to check the method survives a change of shape, then the missing-number sheet, and the timed drill last as a fluency check.
