What this worksheet covers
60 mixed operations problems fill this timed drill page; problem 21 asks "11 - 6", and the sheet stays at that level throughout. Eighteen of the 60 column problems need regrouping and the rest do not, so the two cases are mixed rather than blocked and the numbers run as high as 20. Further down, problem 41 asks "10 - 2". Common Core 2.OA.2 is the slot this page fills.
Skills practised
Grade 2 mixed operations means addition and subtraction within 100 and 1,000, and three-term problems. The skill on the page: mixed facts within 20. Concretely, the sheet tests whether a student can regroup past ten rather than counting up one at a time. Nineteen different answers appear across the 60 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the timed drill format
With 60 short problems such as problem 21, "11 - 6" and a timer box, this page measures recall rather than method — write the time down, and aim to beat it on Set B. Mixed facts under time pressure are the truest fluency check there is: nothing can be done by pattern.

The three sets come from the same generator with three different seeds: same skill, same layout, fresh numbers, and an answer key computed with the problems. Where Set A's problem 31 is "16 - 10", Set B's is "10 - 9".
