Grade 4 Decimals Worksheets

At grade 4, decimals means tenths and hundredths as fractions and decimals, comparing decimals, and adding tenths. Below are five worksheets on it — one per format — each in Set A, B and C with keys.

The drill has 22 problems, numbers to 100 (problem 8: "30/100"). The timed drill has 72 problems, numbers to 100 (problem 25: "17/100"). The missing number has 24 problems, numbers to 100 (problem 9: "2/10 = ___/100"). The mixed review has 30 problems, numbers to 100 (problem 11: "5.2 + 5.4"). The word problems has 10 problems, story problems (problem 4: "A store sold 5 scarves for $31.45 total. Each scarf costs…").

Across the five sheets the generator draws on tenths and hundredths as fractions and decimals, comparing decimals to hundredths, adding tenths, tenths as hundredths, and adding money amounts. The pages are tagged to Common Core 4.NF.6, and each tag links to the standards index.

If this level is not landing, step to grade 4 decimals, where the focus is tenths and hundredths as fractions and decimals, comparing decimals, and adding tenths; if it is too easy, grade 5 moves on to adding and subtracting decimals to hundredths, and multiplying and dividing by whole numbers.

A useful order through these five grade 4 decimals sheets: drill first, then mixed review to check the method survives a change of shape, then the missing-number sheet, and the timed drill last as a fluency check.
