What this worksheet covers
60 mixed operations problems fill this timed drill page; problem 21 asks "120 ÷ 10", and the sheet stays at that level throughout. What makes this set particular: the numbers run as high as 144. Further down, problem 41 asks "45 ÷ 9". The sheet sits inside Common Core 3.OA.7, in the grade 3 Operations & Algebraic Thinking strand.
Skills practised
At grade 6, mixed operations is about order of operations with exponents and multi-digit work in all four operations, and this sheet takes one slice of that. Specifically, the problems practise mixed multiplication and division facts. Working the page asks a student to recall the mixed operations facts quickly and accurately, without counting up to them. 33 different answers appear across the 60 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the timed drill format
With 60 short problems such as problem 21, "120 ÷ 10" and a timer box, this page measures recall rather than method — write the time down, and aim to beat it on Set B. Mixed facts under time pressure are the truest fluency check there is: nothing can be done by pattern.
Set A, Set B and Set C
The three sets come from the same generator with three different seeds: same skill, same layout, fresh numbers, and an answer key computed with the problems. Where Set A's problem 31 is "12 × 6", Set B's is "20 ÷ 4".
How to use this worksheet
Expect twenty minutes or so of real attention for 60 problems. At grade 6, mixed operations rewards care over speed — a rushed timed drill gets the arithmetic right and the signs or units wrong. Use the key as a check, not as a grade; none of the 60 problems needs a score attached to be useful.
