Concretely, the sheet tests whether a student can recall the mixed operations facts quickly and accurately, without counting up to them. 37 different answers appear across the 72 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the timed drill format
With 72 short problems such as problem 25, "6 × 2" and a timer box, this page measures recall rather than method — write the time down, and aim to beat it on Set B. Mixed facts under time pressure are the truest fluency check there is: nothing can be done by pattern.

The three sets come from the same generator with three different seeds: same skill, same layout, fresh numbers, and an answer key computed with the problems. Where Set A's problem 37 is "11 × 12", Set B's is "8 × 10".
How to use this worksheet
Work the 72 problems straight through, then check against the key together rather than handing it back marked; asking a grade 4 student to find their own mixed operations error teaches more than seeing it circled. Keep the key face down until all 72 problems are finished, then go through the misses together rather than only totalling the score.
