72 division problems fill this timed drill page; problem 25 asks "10 ÷ 10", and the sheet stays at that level throughout. Within that, the numbers run as high as 121. Further down, problem 49 asks "18 ÷ 3". Common Core 3.OA.7 is the slot this page fills.
Skills practised
At grade 3, division is about division facts with divisors to 10 and 12, and division as an unknown-factor problem, and this sheet takes one slice of that. The skills on the page: division facts with divisors to 10, division facts to 144 ÷ 12, and halving even numbers. Concretely, the sheet tests whether a student can recall the division facts quickly and accurately, without counting up to them. 25 different answers appear across the 72 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the timed drill format
With 72 short problems such as problem 25, "10 ÷ 10" and a timer box, this page measures recall rather than method — write the time down, and aim to beat it on Set B. Division facts are recalled through their multiplication partners, and a timed page shows which partners are not yet automatic.
Set A, Set B and Set C
The three sets come from the same generator with three different seeds: same skill, same layout, fresh numbers, and an answer key computed with the problems. Where Set A's problem 37 is "5 ÷ 5", Set B's is "48 ÷ 6".
How to use this worksheet
Work the 72 problems straight through, then check against the key together rather than handing it back marked; asking a grade 3 student to find their own division error teaches more than seeing it circled. Print Set B of this division timed drill before writing on Set A; the same skill worked twice a week apart tells you far more than once.
