About the word problems format
Story problems are set one to a line with room to work underneath, problem 3, "Hana has 9 bags of 10 marbles and 6 loose marbles. How many…" among them, and the key gives each of the 8 answers with its unit. Populations, prices and measurements put large and decimal numbers in context, which is where rounding actually matters.

How to use this worksheet
Grade 1 attention runs short, so split these eight place value problems over two or three sittings rather than pushing through in one; a number line or counters within reach is a strategy, not a failure. Use the key as a check, not as a grade; none of the eight problems needs a score attached to be useful.
One mistake to watch for
The value of a digit is given as the digit itself: the 4 in 4,371 is "4". Watch problem 6 of this word problems — "Ava has 2 bags of 10 marbles and 1 loose marbles. How many…" — for this one.
The digit is being read as a symbol rather than as a count of a unit.
Ask "four what?" every time and have the student answer with the unit — four thousands — before writing the number.
