What this worksheet covers
Set A of this grade 4 missing number sheet holds 22 fractions problems on one printable page, with the answer key on the page behind it. Several problems use mixed numbers, which have to be handled without dropping the whole-number part and the numbers run as high as 100. Two problems from the middle of the page — "Write 4/10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100" and "1/10 + 8/100" — show the range. At grade 4, fractions is about adding and subtracting like denominators, equivalent fractions, and multiplying by a whole number, and this sheet takes one slice of that. The skill on the page: fractions with Denominators 10 and 100. Concretely, the sheet tests whether a student can work in fractional units and give the answer in lowest terms. Seventeen different answers appear across the 22 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the missing number format
The 22 problems here move the unknown around, so a student solves for a missing part as often as for a result; problem 8, "Write 4/10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100" is one of them. A missing numerator or a missing factor asks the student to think about the fraction relationship in reverse.

Set A is the original MathSheetLab worksheet; Sets B and C keep its structure and redraw the numbers, with each answer recomputed rather than copied. Where Set A's problem 12 is "2/10 + 3/100", Set B's is "2/10 + 19/100".
How to use this worksheet
Work the 22 problems straight through, then check against the key together rather than handing it back marked; asking a grade 4 student to find their own fractions error teaches more than seeing it circled. Keep the key face down until all 22 problems are finished, then go through the misses together rather than only totalling the score.
One mistake to watch for
Equivalent fractions are made by adding the same number to top and bottom: 2/3 becomes 3/4. Problem 15 on this grade 4 missing number page, "1/10 + 8/100", is where to look for it.
Multiplying and adding are being confused in the renaming step.
Draw the fraction, cut every piece in half, and count; the pieces double, they do not gain one.
