What this worksheet covers
60 percents problems fill this timed drill page; problem 21 asks "84% of 81", and the sheet stays at that level throughout. What makes this set particular: several problems use mixed numbers, which have to be handled without dropping the whole-number part and operands run to two decimal places, so the decimal points have to be lined up rather than the right-hand digits. Further down, problem 41 asks "35% of 123". Common Core 7.RP.3 is the slot this page fills.
Skills practised
At grade 8, percents is about percent change, simple interest, and multi-step percent problems, and this sheet takes one slice of that. Working the page asks a student to work in fractional units and give the answer in lowest terms and keep the decimal points aligned. 59 different answers appear across the 60 problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the timed drill format
With 60 short problems such as problem 21, "84% of 81" and a timer box, this page measures recall rather than method — write the time down, and aim to beat it on Set B. Conversions between percents, fractions and decimals are facts as much as procedures, and a timer tells you which are known.

How to use this worksheet
Work it without a calculator. Every one of the 60 percents problems is designed to be done by hand, and reaching for a calculator at grade 8 skips exactly the reasoning being built. Date the timed drill before filing it. Set C from six weeks later is the cheapest evidence you have that the percents stuck.
