What this worksheet covers
This is a 20-problem mixed review for kindergarten place value, printed in black and white with the key on page two. Within that, the numbers run as high as 19. Problems 7 and 14, for instance, are "11, 12, ___" and "16 = ___ tens and ___ ones". The skill maps to Common Core K.NBT.1.

What a student is asked to do here is teen numbers as ten and some ones, counting tens and ones to 20, and counting on from a number. To finish it, a student has to reason backwards from a result to a missing part. Fifteen different answers appear across the twenty problems, so a student cannot copy one result down the page.
About the mixed review format
Mixed review changes the problem shape as the page goes on, so the 20 problems here cover five different skills rather than one procedure repeated; problem 7, "11, 12, ___" sits next to problems of a different kind. Place value has more question shapes than any other topic, and this format is where they meet.
Set A, Set B and Set C
All three sets are produced by the site's deterministic generator from a fixed seed, so they are the same every time the site is built and the answer keys are exact. Where Set A's problem 11 is "2 ___ 6", Set B's is "4, 5, ___".

One mistake to watch for
Ten more than 47 is found by counting on by ones. Watch problem 14 of this mixed review — "16 = ___ tens and ___ ones" — for this one.
The tens digit has not yet been seen as a thing that can be changed on its own.
Use a hundreds chart and trace the move straight down one row; the ones digit stays put and the student can see it.
