Grade 7 Fractions Worksheets

At grade 7, fractions means complex fractions, signed fractions, and fractions as terminating and repeating decimals. Below are five worksheets on it — one per format — each in Set A, B and C with keys.

The drill has 16 problems, story problems (problem 6: "(3/8) ÷ (1/2)"). The timed drill has 60 problems, numbers to 12 (problem 21: "Write 7/10 as a decimal."). The missing number has 24 problems, five with negative values (problem 9: "1/6 = ___/18"). The mixed review has 30 problems, six with negative values (problem 11: "1/3 ÷ 1/5"). The word problems has 10 problems, story problems (problem 4: "3/4 of a can of paint covers 1/2 of a wall. What is the…").

Across the five sheets the generator draws on dividing fractions, multiplying fractions, fractions to decimals, missing factors, missing terms with signed fractions, and missing terms in equivalent fractions and three more. The pages are tagged to Common Core 7.RP.1, 6.NS.1, and 7.NS.2, and each tag links to the standards index.

If this level is not landing, step to grade 6 fractions, where the focus is dividing fractions by fractions and all four operations with mixed numbers; if it is too easy, grade 7 moves on to complex fractions, signed fractions, and fractions as terminating and repeating decimals.

A useful order through these five grade 7 fractions sheets: drill first, then mixed review to check the method survives a change of shape, then the missing-number sheet, and the timed drill last as a fluency check.
